Germany will provide €400 million for the procurement of Ukrainian long-range drones. Thank you, Germany! 🇩🇪 German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius: "Germany is supporting Ukraine with around €9 billion this year, and we will continue our support at this level. From this amount we are currently preparing a package worth €2 billion. It will contain missile defense systems, state-of-the-art radar technology and ammunition. We also participate in PURL with an investment of $500 million. We will therefore continue to invest in Ukraine's air defense and counter-drone measures. We are inviting our partners to support projects in the area of air defense. Clearly, Ukraine's defense industry is powerful and innovative - it is worth investing in. "While all eyes are on what is happening in Iran and in the Middle East, there are people dying in Kyiv, because Russia keeps bombing Ukraine every single day. So we have to keep up the pressure on Russia. That's why we are pushing for the 18th package of sanctions. Also, we have to give the military support to Ukraine. I'm happy to tell you that 80% of the ammunition initiative has already been pledged. Defense assistance, investments in Ukraine’s defense industry, and support for our path to European integration were the main topics of our meeting with the President of the German Bundestag, Julia Klöckner. We discussed ways to bring a just and lasting peace closer. So far, Russia has made no moves in that direction. It is crucial to act together to stop its aggression. We thank Germany for its decision to allocate 7 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine this year. The world understands what Russia is planning and what terrorist attacks it is capable of carrying out. We also know how to respond to the occupier's actions. And we will respond forcefully. In an era when terror is spreading over the world, it is vital that the world sends a message that is crystal clear: protection from terror will not falter anywhere.

Today, together with Ireland’s Taoiseach Simon Harris TD, we signed an Agreement on Support for Ukraine and Cooperation between our nations. Putin said that NATO was "provoking global militarization" and "inventing" "some possible invasion of Europe" by Russia. He said that in response, Russia will "continue to develop" its armed forces and "strengthen the security of Russia." This is the second time in a few days that Putin himself speaks of this. Of course, we all know too well that when Russia promises it won't attack, this mostly means the opposite. Today, Putin de-facto openly stated that Russia will continue putting its economy on military rails and ramp up its war machine. Putin gives the perfect excuse that this is in response to NATO's "militarization" (in fact, it is exactly the other way around - NATO started increasing its military capacity in response to Russia). I've written before that Russia has no interest in its soldiers returning home. Consequently, an attack on Europe will only look logical. They will find excuses and justifications. Putin must be stopped. Russia must be stopped. Ukraine must be given all the support and resources we need. A rebuilt, Europe-integrated Ukraine with our incomparable military experience will be the strongest defense for Europe. Time is playing against Europe. Hurry up. Putin doesn't waste any time.
