Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) ending on “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” with Duke walking off, the whole trip settling into that last stretch, it just lands.

#SethRogen recalls doing ‘a ton of acid’ and seeing Grateful Dead at Las Vegas Sphere, and now they're his favorite band of all time.

Tobey Maguire’s entire role in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) lasts only a minute or two, yet it’s one of the first faces people point out on a rewatch. Funny how a tiny hitchhiker role became such a great piece of hindsight casting.

Benicio del Toro is my favorite part of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. This is what I consider to be an example of perfect casting. Del Toro would be the absolute number 1 individual I would want on a hellbent trip like this. His charisma is on full display in this film.

In Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Johnny Depp wore Hunter S. Thompson’s real 1970s clothes which he loaned him after Depp spent 4 months living with him to study his mannerisms and voice. Thompson later slammed Tobey Maguire's performance as a “wax doll” and a “freak.”

Tobey Maguire was so weird in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) that Hunter S. Thompson said “Look at that freak. That kid is a stupid, wax doll of some kind.” Johnny Depp lived with Thompson for 4 months to study him and even wore his actual 1970s clothes.
