Rather than carry out the will of the voters, Sacramento has refused to fund the measure, effectively setting it up to fail. That’s not what the people voted for — and it’s not a decision lawmakers should get to make after the fact. When voters approve a measure, implementation isn’t optional. Budgets are a reflection of our values. And if we’re not willing to prioritize public safety, treatment, and accountability with real dollars, then we’re choosing dysfunction over results.

Californians were fed up with retail theft and passed Prop 36 in all 58 counties with nearly 70% voter approval. Instead of fully funding and implementing what voters demanded, state legislators drafted AB 2108 and created yet another diversion program: this time for retail theft offenders. Like mental health diversion, it offers another way to avoid jail time. Offenders even walk away without a conviction on their record. Even more surprising is that some of California’s largest retailers, along with the California Retailers Association, support the bill despite reporting billions of dollars in losses due to retail theft. Voters wanted meaningful consequences for retail theft offenders, but the state legislature moved in the opposite direction.

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around. Glad to get the chance to talk to some of the volunteers and organizers doing the hard work to make sure Prop 50 passes. This vote will have critical implications, not just for California, but for our entire country.

OH DEAR - Not sure I agree with doing something like this, BUT..... Is using California's rigged system against themselves acceptable.....guess we will find out. CA doesn't want anyone to even ask for any kind of ID (it's against the law) when they vote, if this is true and thousands of MAGA voters are going to show up and vote in CA whether they live there or not it should be legal, right? If illegal aliens can vote - and dead people can vote - then what's to stop MAGA voters from voting in CA whether they live there or not?

‼️Chester County Scandal‼️ On Election Day — Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 — Chester County, PA, poll books did NOT include independent voters. Voters were told that they had to vote a provisional ballot, despite the fact that they were eligible voters. At some polling locations, workers ran out of envelopes because of the poll book scandal — voters couldn’t vote. Why were 75,000 voters left out of the poll books? Who is responsible for this egregious error? Why has no one been fired for disenfranchising voters? As soon as I heard that Chester County voters were being turned away from the polls, I drove to the Penn Township Municipal Building. & began calling voters to let them know that the polling location FINALLY had voting materials. We have a list of voters that were disenfranchised. Not letting this go. 📍Chester County, PA
