Without protests, we would still live in a segregated country. Without protests, women would still be second class citizens. Without protests, the LGBTQ+ community would still be hiding their identities.

If you support the first amendment, why haven’t you spoken in defense of journalist and publisher Julian Assange?

The sheer audacity that I find myself in a position where I must educate Senator Bernie Sanders, along with a horde of college protestors drunk on their misguided version of free speech, is nothing short of appalling. It’s a damning indictment of both Sen. Sanders’ incompetence and the radical, ill-informed zeal of today’s campus activists. Let’s be crystal clear: Free speech does not grant the license to incite violence, wield words as weapons of hate—in this case, rampant antisemitism—occupy buildings, enlist innocents into a domestic insurgency, fund terror outfits, conspire to coerce academic institutions, deface both public and private properties, or spread fear and chaos among the populace. Above all, the First Amendment, that bastion of free expression, should never serve as a shield to trample fellow Americans’ rights, liberties, and constitutional safeguards. Senator Sanders, your glaring neglect to address these critical distinctions, the very essence of lawful free speech, is not just troubling—it reeks of a deliberate ruse. It seems you prefer using your influential platform to galvanize a fervent, lawless frenzy among the youth, all under the guise of pushing your progressive agenda and their disinformation campaign built on the cornerstone of animus for Israel and the Jewish people. Rest assured, we will not stand idly by. We will hold you relentlessly accountable for your dangerously careless rhetoric, which only serves to fuel the flames of xenophobic violence, including but not limited to unbridled acts of domestic terrorism.

Without brownshirts engaging in violent "protests," the Nazis would have never taken over Germany.

Senator Sanders revealed his chilling preference for ideological purity over human safety. Senator Sanders, apparently, you didn’t receive the inter-office memo. Hamas, ruling Gaza, alongside other Gazan terrorists, ignited a war with Israel, grossly underestimating Israel’s response to the most horrific atrocity endured by the Jewish people since the Holocaust, including the deadliest terrorist attack ever on Israeli soil. This catastrophic error by Hamas — slaughtering over 1,200 individuals, committing rapes, beheading children and civilians, mutilating bodies, pillaging homes, torching healthcare facilities, and abducting hundreds to the dark tunnels beneath Gaza — marked a breaking point for Israel amidst relentless terror. More insidiously, this was a calculated error. Hamas exploited it as a propaganda tool to twist the narrative, concoct lies, peddle alternative facts, and profit from the blood of their own people, killed by their own hands — later discovered in scattered mass graves. And you, Senator, tragically swallowed this bait whole, endorsing the inflated casualty figures circulated by Hamas’ controlled Gaza Ministry of Health to drum up unwarranted sympathy for their decades-long genocidal crusade against Israel and their broader aim of exterminating Jews worldwide. In our history, we have consistently dismissed data from autocracies and terrorist regimes, including Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, the Houthis, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, ISIS-K, and other pariah states and radical militants. Yet, you hastily embrace Hamas’ dubious casualty statistics, compiled in mere milliseconds. It took Israel over five weeks — using far more reliable methods — to confirm the grim tally of those 1,200+ murdered or the hundreds abducted by Hamas; this doesn’t include the hundreds more injured. Moreover, the severe destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure is a direct result of terrorist strategy. Hamas and Islamic Jihad have systematically exploited schools, hospitals, homes, and civilian businesses as military bases to launch attacks on Israel and its people. Regrettably, you have NEVER denounced the heinous acts of Hamas — the murders, the carnage, the sexual violence, the desecration of corpses, the kidnappings. Instead, your vitriolic focus seems fixated on destroying Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the expense of Israel and the international Jewish community. Your personal vendetta in this conflict has repercussions: Gazans, Israelis, and Jews worldwide suffer while you fan the flames of hatred on social media. The bloodshed spurred by your inflammatory rhetoric has placed countless lives in jeopardy in the United States and throughout the world.

Where were during the first months of this holocaust? You sat back and talked about "Israel's right to defend itself" — the jargon typically used to justify slaughtering Palestinians. You talk about free speech but where's your defense of Assange?

I do not share your politics, but I support the ability of people to protest what they consider to be injustice. Like the Genocide that is now occurring in Gaza
