🇨🇳China unveiled BIG MOVES to support Global South at G20 Leaders' Summit. It's China's eight actions for global development, here's the detail👇 1⃣is to pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. On top of 700 billion yuan ($96.7 billion) added financing windows and an additional 80 billion yuan ($11.1 billion) injection into the Silk Road Fund, China is moving ahead with the development of the multidimensional Belt and Road connectivity network, one that is led by the building of a green Silk Road and will empower a digital Silk Road. 2⃣is to implement the Global Development Initiative. On my way home along Shamva Road, back in Rhodesia this used to be a massive horticultural farm it was owned by the late former Deputy Finance Minister David Chapfika who died at a bridge a few meters away. What shocked me is the “farm” is filled with earth-moving equipment and foundations of houses are already in shape. The explanation is that the property development is being done by a Commercial Bank; maybe an estate repossession on collaterised debt and the bank converting the farm into a residential estate. Ndarwadziwa hama wee! Government needs to stop this as a matter or urgency. The farm is way out of Harare but the project is groundbreaking for all the farms just after Murewa-Mutoko: Shamva turn off will more likely be turned into property development. Please Government! Ndapota hangu! Stop this. This farming area is well known for horticulture for both export markets and Harare. Ndinzweyiwo wedetemba. Just stop this.

During our visit to Bahir Dar city, we observed the Bahir Dar International Stadium as well as various ongoing projects aimed at making the city more suitable for tourism development. The Bahir Dar International Stadium is undergoing significant upgrades to meet the standards set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The stadium, which will have a capacity of 52,000 spectators, has completed its seating installation and turf works. In addition, essential infrastructure inside the stadium — including the lighting system — is being rapidly developed. Furthermore, we visited the Fellege Ghion Resort, which is being constructed on the shore of Bahir Dar city based on the model of the Gorgora Eco Resort. Once completed, this resort is expected not only to boost the city’s tourism sector but also to create numerous employment opportunities for young people. On another front, the Ethiopian Maritime Transport and Logistics Company is constructing the Ethio-Ferries branch office in Bahir Dar, along the shore of Lake Tana. This project, along with other ongoing development works, will play a major role in ushering Bahir Dar into a new chapter of urban growth and modernization.
