The ending is them enjoying the sun. I am constantly blown away with how many times Oda made some sort of analogy to the sun through all of one piece media

his smile when he saw them and all of them running to go see him THIS IS MY FAMILY

And he’ll never tell them what happened because he doesn’t care. He’s just happy to have them back.

The Pro & Con of this movie is that it doesn't feel like a One Piece Movie it really will stand the test of time as a very unique anime film!
