if we want to Make America Healthy Again, shouldn't we build affordable housing in mixed use, walkable neighborhoods so ppl can incorporate walking into their daily lives instead of find the time and discipline to go to the gym?

How hard is it to go outside and walk?

@wokemebro @shagbark_hick Right up your alley. But the intentions that led to these design choices are the (unaddressed) real crux of the matter.

Congratulations to @crossonprime on 7 @naacpimageawards nominations!

@wokemebro “Subsidized driveways” 🤯🤯🤯

@wokemebro As someone who literally just moved from the City to Jersey City, I can attest that there is nowhere to go and it’s all ugly. No cute little stores, cafes, markets … nothing! 😣

@wokemebro and these examples don't even come close to addressing the curvy woodsy rallycross-style roads of new england where you're lucky if there's even a shoulder between the roads and a forest

@wokemebro I am extremely lucky and do live in a walkable (15-minute) neighborhood, as I nearly always have. Hate suburbs - my sister's street does not even have sidewalks.

@wokemebro It’s NOT difficult - if you want to exercise

@wokemebro I have my BUP… another common issue not brought up is that a lot of the mom & pop joints got ran out of town for all the giant corps and nobody wanting shop local, leaving abandoned buildings turned to small “retail” insurance or realty outfits a lot of the chains (1/2)

@wokemebro Put one foot in front of the other. This video does nothing to prove people can’t do that
