Wolverine has a serious handholding problem. This is a mature game, yet it constantly tells you where to go, what to look at and what to interact with. It feels like every possible guidance aid is turned on. It completely kills the little exploration the game has.

You better show off what level you're playing it otherwise they are gonna say it's because you're on easy lol

I’m playing on The Weapon, the second-hardest difficulty out of five, but someone will probably still say it’s on easy 😂

I know you're an honest dude so I trust you.

Before anyone says I hate the game, guys, I’ve praised it too, as you can see here. I’m sharing my honest thoughts as I play, both positive and negative. Liking some things doesn’t mean I can’t criticise others.

They about to ...your comment section my dude lol they are a sensitive bunch

Wouldn’t surprise me lol. I’ve already praised the visuals in other posts, but apparently you have to either love everything or hate everything. I’m just being honest about what I like and don’t like…

Yea.. just keep doing you and have fun! Haha

That’s him sniffing Jean, if you want actual hand holding, you press R3 and it tells you were you need to go, the blue scent is more often not on the screen, only appears if Logan tracks a scent or a collectible.

Starting to become a trend with some "Mature" games. Like yeah, we got a mature rating due to some explicit content, but otherwise the game has all edges completely sanded down and is made for 11 year olds. Felt the same about Starfield

The scent trail only shows up in situations where she’s tracking someone by scent. Of course it’s gonna stay on until he finds his target lmfao it’s not in all the time. You’re literally using skill ups words almost exactly lol

That's not telling you where to go. That's telling you where that person has been. It's a scent trail. Not a guide. As a passive power, it makes sense to be there to visualize what Logan smells. It's a natural thing to show no more than the tingling lines from Spider-Mans head when he uses Spidey Sense! Do you want a toggling button for passive powers like that? It wouldn't make sense. I understand that people are not used to playing with a character that has passive powers like this but this isn't always there to guide you. It's just a visual to show you that he's using his powers. In a visual medium, why is that such an issue?

Xmen Origins had the same feature. Also GoW Ragnarok and the new Onimusha hav a similar navigation fearure but I doubt you complained about it in those games did you? The scent trail doesn’t ruin the exploration part of the game at all because it’s a linear game and this is how you show his other powers

My complaint isn’t that the scent trail exists. It’s that there are three different things telling me where to go at once. Using scent to track someone makes sense, but leading me straight to collectibles too? Let me find those myself. Being linear doesn’t mean a game needs to point out everything, and other games doing it doesn’t address my criticism.

This has to be sarcasm, it’s a linear game, not open world , so exploration really isn’t that deep. Also you have to activate the scent trail. It’s not constantly active.

Wow sounds like a first world problem. So not an actual problem. 🙄 Cry more please you fucking baby 😆

Omg please shut up! The game is badass. Go play Minecraft.

It's his sniffing sense do you actually read comics? Onimusha does the same damn thing where is the problem

I think if that feature was not given they would have added another hour of gameplay .... 🤣

I do like the Scent Trail, makes sense

Bruh

*scent trail going up into the sky* Okay that's not actually bad personall- *GIANT BLUE PULSE* BRUH

How did people not see this in the game trailers leading up to release? It's literally an interactive movie, for people who just want the fantasy of playing as Wolverine. If yall thought there was gonna be depth, then their advertising team definitely won.

So how do you hide logans scent ability fromm holding your hand?

That’s why I’m criticising the hand-holding, not the fact that Logan has a scent ability. I don’t mind using it to track enemies or other people, but in this clip, there are three different things showing me where to go. At least remove the waypoint when there’s a scent trail and let me press R3 to reveal the trail. That would’ve been much better. The blue pulse is terrible the way it’s used here. And it’s even worse when that same hand-holding extends to collectibles and chests. Being led straight to them, with chests pulsing and making sounds when I’m nearby, takes away the discovery. What’s the point of hiding them if you’re going to tell me exactly where they are? At that point, just hand me whatever’s inside.

And based on reviews, some people are so stupid they still struggle with progression.

You know retard that you can turn IT off?

alot of games do this and it annoys the shit out of me, but unfortunately there is more shit gamers than there is good gamers, content creators dont like getting lost lol.

Wolverine the Explorer

Then turn it off then🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿

Just one unelated question on what difficulty are you playing it?

It’s Wolverine. That is part of his powers

dad gamers don't have time to think for progression

Hopefully you get some fun out of it, just make sure to resell it fast when you're done to recoup some of that cashola!

Turn it off then

Lmao..your gimmicks is fake just like your fake review!

He’s Wolverine bro. That’s one of his skills. He’s a tracker. That’s what he does. He’s not a detective.

It's a game made for gaming journalists, not people that ACTUALLY play games

This will negatively affect my opinion about the game.
