Millions are unemployed but somehow there’s always money and a plan for the weekend drinks. We’ve become a society that lives for Friday to Sunday. Ask yourself: do we see the same level of alcohol glorification among white Afrikaans-speaking families and their kids? This isn’t about race. It’s about culture, priorities and what we’re normalising for the next generation. We are sitting on a ticking time bomb. What a shame.
