I mean that’s literally BS. No woman terminates a WANTED child….abortion is the very definition of unwanted!

Why is the government responsible for your childcare ? I don’t understand this. If you don’t have the means then don’t have children. Everyone is so quick to ask for handouts but do they not realise it’s their own money anyway that pays for this !

i’m sorry what a lot of crap everyone knows childcare is expensive you do not wait till your pregnant to know that!

Did they not bother or know about contraception? then maybe they should educate themselves how to take precautions first.

Raising the retirement age for women has definitely had a knock-on effect. I personally know at least a dozen women who had told their sons / daughters that they would provide childcare for their little ones and now can't because they have to continue working #waspi

So many judgemental people in the comments 😒. She may have used contraception, but it isn’t 100% effective, or perhaps her financial circumstances changed, we don’t know & it shouldn’t matter. People are angry at women but not the fact childcare costs are cripplingly expensive

I had three children one in the early 80s, late 80 s, and 2000, I did part time jobs between husbands work until they went to school. Only the last one had a day at nursery subsidised. Stay at home with your children it’s the most important time for them.

@Frusie Childcare costs are ridiculously high compared to average women’s wages. Any sensible government would fund childcare places properly. No wonder there are huge gaps in the labour market, hundreds of thousands of young women can’t affford to work. Plus Brexit of course

If you have a child it is your responsibility to pay for it - NOT mine. Why should I pay for the care of YOUR child. this is just inflamatory tosh.

It is sad situation but there is also nothing wrong in staying home to care for them until school age if you decide to have children
