This is what modern men have become. Because they don't want to be hated by their wives for resting in their own house while she's cooking or cleaning, they try their best to appear like a helping hand. After working 12 + hours shift and providing for their home, they fear to come home and rest. So they have to act like they're assisting their wives rather than doing nothing so she doesn't see him as a selfish man and a liability who can't be of an assistance to them. So now, these men have to work their ass off to provide for their wives and when they get home, they still have to assist her in cooking and cleaning in order to please their wives. Modern men disgust me.
