A very active weather pattern is setting up for next week, with multiple storm systems lined up to sweep across the US. It'll all begin with heavy rain slamming the West Coast this weekend into early next week, then the pattern shifts east as a parade of storms brings widespread rain, warm temperatures, and even the potential for severe weather. Because of the warmth, most of these will be rain makers, with only our brotheren in the western mountains being the only folks to get in on the snow. And although Severe Weather is certainty possible, the details still need to be ironed out. Nothing is guaranteed - but it’s definitely on the table in this setup. Get ready to get wet. 🌧️

This was my walk today in the rain through the destroyed neighborhoods where people still live despite everything. The scene was unbearably painful… water flooded what’s left of the houses, and there was no dry place left for anyone to sleep. I saw families standing all night because their mattresses were soaked, and the ground was completely covered in mud and rain. Children were shivering from the cold, and the adults were desperately trying to protect what little belongings they had left.

Freezing rain and worsening winter conditions are putting families in Gaza at serious risk. Flooded ground, bitter cold, and exposure are making daily survival increasingly dangerous. Despite this, five more families now have shelter. Through continued public support, the RebuildGaza24 team on the ground has delivered and installed tents providing immediate protection from rain, cold, and exposure. This is practical, life-saving support for families who have already lost everything. The need remains urgent, and donations have slowed. The first photo is reminiscent of the moat dug by Jaish Islam in late 2016 to protect the Eastern flank of the E. #Ghouta. Extending for more than 10 km and ~6 meters wide, large sections of this anti-tank ditch were flooded. Despite its relatively simple design, the moat prevented Regime from advancing for over a year. Repeated attempts to cross it - involving the use of mobile bridges - failed until February 2018. The penultimate assault ended in a particularly chaotic failure, with 2 T-72s lost, incl. one captured by Jaish Islam (see video). But once the moat was finally breached during the Russian-led offensive (last photo), the fate of the E. Ghouta was effectively sealed.

A passage from my book: On one of my first days back , my mum asked me what I was doing standing in the garden barefooted, in light drizzle, apparently staring into the sky on what was a very English day. All I remember is looking at the sun and the clouds , feeling the grass on my feet and the wind on my face while thinking how new everything seemed, I could see, feel, smell everything all at once, it was overwhelming. You see there’s no wind in prison, no rain and for 60 days I didn’t even see the sun. Some of these boys have been locked up in the most horrendous conditions for 3 years God bless them, welcome home🙏🇺🇦

Alright long term update on the Better Basics Heavy. I reached out to Shivaan Seth saying that the t-shirt is ideal for barbell workouts as the heavy gauge does great service towards padding the skin against the bar but the sleeves restrict overhead movement. Suggested that Raglan sleeves would be better. To my surprise he sent me a raglan sleeved heavy and I and glad to report that after weeks of use it works beautifully. I continue to hold my position that Better Basics makes the best heavy cotton crew in the market right now. This damn garment has withstood much abuse at my hands. I recommend you all bombard them with request for a raglan for your gym use. It works great As an aside, I have been trying to put together a natural fibers for the gym combo and this lets me achieve that. Cotton for the t-shirt and the heavy training shorts from Athlos ; Happy to report this combination works well.

Sokoto State Government goes digital, introduces e-ticketing system for mass transit vehicles The Sokoto State Government has introduced an e-ticketing system for all its 126 mass transit vehicles currently in use for inter states,intra city as well as inter local government services. This came to light during a brief demonstration to Gov. Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto on how the e-ticketing system works and how a passenger can obtain his ticket without any stress. Gov. Aliyu said the initiative is part of several other measures introduced by his administration to enhance transparency and accountability in the mass transit unit and the state as a whole.

From becoming a water-surplus city to major road and infrastructure upgrades, improved power and street lighting, 4,000 new jobs in ELCOT SEZ, ₹30,000+ crore investments, and progress from MSMEs to large industries to IT, Madurai is moving forward on all fronts, including a long-pending overhaul of underground drainage and stormwater systems, with DPRs prepared for the first time since 1908 and initial funds already allocated for the first phase.
