Good way to burn up your bit. The metal from the screws will create friction and burn your bit up much quicker. You can use a better arbor, and put a smaller hole saw inside the bigger one and it works great. Also going in reverse until you start a groove works, but that takes practice.

I think drilling a metal hole is tricking and maybe 2 screws would work but wood? That’s easy to drill and I’m a girl
