@M0RD3N Doesn't MiSTer's SNES core borrow heavily from BSNES, which in turn was designed by near from SNES hardware and PCB diagrams? It's possible to more realistically "recreate" the system operations in parallel as opposed to sequentially, but not many do it. So it goes.

@krikzz @M0RD3N I remember reading something Near wrote about how software emulation can be perfect if you write an OS along with it so that there's no overhead and a bunch of stuff, good read but don't remember where it was written

@ArjAndInCharj @M0RD3N Software emu never be able to interact with external hardware like cartridge or some addons, especially on old fashion systems with complex parallel bus, like nes or megadrive. At least by this reasons fpga superior to soft emu

Is the cartridge name something that's fetched from a recognition database on the Analogue 3D or is it something it reads from the inserted cartridge's header or something?

Awesome news Krikzz! Thanks for jumping on this so quickly. I paid full price for this a year ago just to use on the 3D system. Even though I have over 25 cartridges I didn't want all that handling and dirt/corrosion touching my new system. Absolutely stellar support!

It would be cool if the analogue could send a special command to your everdrive on boot to instantly load a specific game (as analogue has per game settings) any chance a collab to make this feature is even possible?

still crazy to me how unfinished the device still feels, I know they only just launched it but it’s missing a lot of the features they showcased and having to manually update the firmware when they said they’d have them OTA is annoying.

Hey Krikzz thanks for amazing work, any way to also get over clock features to work with everdrive. I tried 2.5 one and if I enable overclock , games don’t play properly . I also have x7 so I’m going once you get it going , the analogue features will also work

Would said software patch be on the Everdrive side of things, or the Analog side? If you were doing it I'd be willing to bet it would come a whole lot sooner than it would if it were left up to Analog.

I have a Everdrive 64 v2.5, would this be the same case (if it works) or would this only apply to the X7?
