Work isn't war

I had a similar reaction when my boss said he wanted us to “disrupt the academic publishing industry” back in 2008. I wasn’t used to startup lingo yet and “disrupt” sounded negative

Too many companies have “all hands” meetings. Maybe they look up to leadership in the military and picture themselves having that level of command and respect.

Work is art. The way Art is Work.

This is I think a reasonable way for product teams to think. It is not how you want your GTM teams to think. But really it’s probably not ok for anyone.

Albert Einstein: “So long as there are men there will be wars.”. Our best bet is replace men with AI in work.

I think it depends at the level in which the business is operating. Yes if you are mid market b2b saas chill out and focus on product. But when you are trying to become the leader in the next tech revolution such as a Google and OpenAI. This isn’t all peace and love.

Tell that to all the finance bros and VCs 😂
