It's all good until someone trips

Brilliant.

It's just not fair. They need to stop and do it the hard way because we didn't think of this back in the 80s.

Completely understand that.

Brilliant is right.

Pretty cool! I like it. Need something in place to collect the sawdust though. Then you have the perfect package.

Agree.

@ToniLL22 The whole construction looks a little shaky imo. It would worry me a bit.

@ToniLL22 Ok.

@ToniLL22 I'm not an expert. 😅 It's just a feeling.

That's fabulous until you trip into it.

@jekiffevie I give it a thumbs up!

Lifting the heavier object to be cut by the lighter object. Ya, Brilliant!

It's all fun and games 'til someone loses an arm.

Would you rather lift the chainsaw or a bunch of logs?

Useless at different levels — due to the weight of the wood and the direction of the cut — and dangerous for your arms, hands, and face, because you are cutting with the chain moving forward and have no control over it. Get a band saw if you like lifting!

Several of the logs are heavier than the chainsaw. Plus, he had to build the stand and now has to pick up all the wood off the ground, moving it twice. Why not move the logs to a storage bin and cut them up there with the saw?

If You Do This, Use The LARGE Zip-Ties. Don't Trust Your Limbs To Those Small Ties. Secure The Saw Mechanically If Possible With a Metal Plate Screwed or Bolted To The Bench. Great Idea If You've Ever Used a Chain-Saw. Your Back Will Thank You!

Look! No hands! Him later:

Great til you trip and fall on it very dangerous

@RickD_GK Great idea

@RickD_GK Definitely is.

That is superb

Yes.

Wow, this is awesome!

Yes.

OHSA Approved..👍
Nothing whatsoever could go wrong.

that doesn't really protect you from falling on it now does it?

he should set a stop on the other side. All his pieces will be different lengths. That would drive me BaNaNaS.....

👍

Like 👍

Yes correct.

Too bad all the brilliant response fail to realize that a log is heavier than a chainsaw, hence this isn’t really smarter at all.

Looks like a great way to lose some digits or limbs..... 😳

Limb Remover 3000

Can you imagine all of the guards and safety mechanisms you would have to have in place if something like this was commmercially available? Because if you slip and fall into that thing it's going to be no bueno

Great invention.

I think so also.

Cool, but id rather be lifting the saw than heavy logs every time to make a cut.

TBH ....I would wait to see if he tripped and fell on it ..... not brilliant, STUPID

Thats not a safety switch its a kill you switch. Just imagine falling on it.

I doubt that's OSHA approved. He'll need to send out a search party for his thumb.

Good man 💪
