Melchengam Reserve Forest in Tiruvannamalai district shall be developed as Tamil Nadu's first Biodiversity Heritage Forest in about 1000 Hectares at a cost of Rs 10 Crores. This was announced by the Finance, Environment and Climate Change Minister Thangam Thenarasu-தமிழ்நாட்டை தலைகுனிய விடமாட்டேன் while presenting the Budget. Hundreds of Minnesota businesses—from breakfast spots to bike shops to breweries—are shutting down Friday as part of a general strike pushing ICE out of the state. The "Day of Truth and Freedom" includes protests, prayers, and fasting, organized by a coalition of clergy and supported by labor organizers and the entire Minneapolis City Council. This would never have been, were it not for lives saved many years ago: Orphaned elephants rescued and raised in our care, many with near fatal, and lifelong physical injuries. The lifespan of an elephant mirrors our own. In 2013 and 2014, we were blending about one and a half percent ethanol in gasoline. And this programme was targeted to have 20% blending, which is E20, completed in December 25, five years ahead of the target. This programme, the ethanol blending programme, particularly in 2018, was in a structured manner, put out for discussion and deliberation by all stakeholders. It is supported by scientific evidence, extensive testing by the automotive, manufacturers and the agencies who support them, namely the Automotive Research Association of India, ARAI and SIAM, and also it is in line with the global best practices which is followed to green the fossil fuels to lower the carbon emissions," says expert Vartika Shukla at the press conference by industry experts on ethanol. This initiative is about creating income, protecting the environment, and empowering communities in the Oyam District. 2. Beekeeping is one of the most sustainable, low-labor ventures perfect for those managing multiple businesses. It provides real income, supports biodiversity, and enhances food security through pollination. 3. My late grandfather always said, “Honey is a sweet business.” Now I truly understand. With rising demand, we’re training local beekeepers, engaging youth, and preparing to export to South Africa and Germany. 4. My vision is bold: to build Northern Uganda’s largest agro-tourism and eco-farming site, a place of learning, trade, and transformation. Let’s reimagine agriculture, together.

We discussed the global situation, cooperation with partners, and Switzerland’s support and assistance. I am thankful for the decision to allocate 5 billion francs for the recovery of our country. We have many promising humanitarian projects that we can implement together with the help of these funds. We also touched upon the issue of abducted children. We hope that Switzerland will join our efforts with partners in a practical way to help bring all the children back home – to Ukraine. Thank you for a good conversation. And thank you to Switzerland for its peacebuilding efforts and its steadfast and consistent support for our people. We deeply appreciate it.
