𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎: 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐞 𝐓𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 – 𝐁𝐨𝐯𝐢 Nigerian stand-up comedian and actor Bovi has opened up about his decision to relocate his family to the United Kingdom, citing concerns over bullying in Nigerian schools. Speaking on the Uncolored podcast which started trending on Wednesday, Bovi revealed that his children have been living in the UK for the past two years. He explained that while his first son initially moved abroad for boarding school in 2021, the entire family later followed. “My kids don’t live in the country [Nigeria] anymore. They have been in the UK for two years now. It started by accident, my first son has been there since 2021 in a boarding house," he said. Bovi recounted his own experience attending boarding school in Nigeria, where he learned resilience and street-smart skills. However, he said he chose not to send his children to a Nigerian boarding school due to what he described as a normalised culture of bullying. “I went to boarding school in Nigeria and it made me street-smart. So I decided that my kid needs to go boarding but not in Nigeria because the educational system has accepted bullying," he explained. On the issue of mass migration, Bovi attributed the trend to the lack of an enabling environment in Nigeria. He highlighted the medical sector as an example, where doctors are leaving the country in large numbers due to poor working conditions. He stressed that migration is not just about financial gain but about dignity and infrastructure. Comparing Nigeria’s work environment with that of the West, he noted that doctors abroad have better resources and a supportive system that allows them to work with ease. He said, “The saving grace of the country is that we’ve not gone into war or food shortage. We’ve also not had natural disasters. “So we can lose 500 doctors in one year but there are about 200 new doctors coming on board. It’s like using balm aid on a big wound. That’s why it has not blown up in our faces. “If the government wants to stem the tide, they check what the West is doing. Why are doctors comfortable going to work in other countries? It’s not just the money. If you are passionate about something but when you get to work there’s light and an enabling encouragement, you don’t get to fight to go to work or go back home. “It may not be perfect but at least that decency is not lost. Patients have died in Nigeria because of lack of blood or power failure during operation. If you are a medical doctor, would you like to work under that kind of condition? The answer is no.” --- Follow us for more breaking news and videos

PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA ARRIVES IN ITALY FOR A WORKING VISIT TO THE HOLY SEE 🇿🇦His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦 has this morning, Friday 7 November 2025, arrived in Rome, Italy for a working visit to the Holy See. South Africa and the Holy See have cordial bilateral relations and the visit by President Ramaphosa serves as an opportunity to discuss a renewed focus on collaboration in humanitarian aid, climate justice, emergency response, and peace building. The Holy See has diplomatic ties with over 180 countries and observer status at major international bodies like the United Nations and holds significant global influence through its moral, religious, and diplomatic authority. South Africa and the Holy See have a long history of diplomatic relations that was formally established in 1994. South Africa values the warm and respectful relations it has enjoyed with the Holy See over the years. The meeting with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV is of particular significance as it represents South Africa’s first high-level engagement with the newly appointed Pontiff. His ascension to the papacy on 08 May 2025 provides an important opportunity to reaffirm and strengthen bilateral relations with the Holy See. The South African concept of Ubuntu, which emphasizes interconnectedness, shared humanity, and humanity towards others, aligns with the Pope’s calls for a more compassionate, loving, peaceful and inclusive global community. The President is accompanied by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Ronald Lamola and daughter, Ms Keneilwe Ramaphosa ISSUED BY THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

🚨 Politico is upset that the Supreme Court might let doctors… talk to their patients. Read that again. Politico's actual concern (in print!!!) is that a Supreme Court ruling protecting physician free speech "could permit doctors to speak more freely with patients and to the public about approaches to health care that are outside the mainstream." Outside the mainstream. Let's talk about that for a second. Who decides what's "mainstream?" The same institutions that told us masks didn't work, then said they did? The same bodies that said COVID couldn't have come from a lab? The same establishment that assured us the vaccines would stop transmission? The same system that watched Dr. Paul Marik (the most published ICU doctor in the world) stand before a Senate hearing in tears, saying, "They took away the drugs that were working for me. They made me just watch my patients die." His ICU had the highest survival rate. And they stripped him of his ability to treat. Doctors who used hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin (and saved lives doing it) had their licenses threatened or revoked. Not for harming patients. For HELPING them. For thinking outside the box when the entire world admitted it didn't know how to treat this disease. The Supreme Court is now weighing whether licensing boards can punish doctors for speaking their truth. And Politico's position is that they should be able to. The patient comes first. That is the foundation of medicine. And what we did to doctors during COVID, and what Politico is defending, is the complete inversion of that principle.

Peterhead Football Club today surprised Chairman Rodger Morrison, renaming the Main Stand in his honour. Rodger has given forty years service to PFC with twenty of those spent as Chairman, a huge amount of selfless hard work, dedication and financial contribution. As he also helped fund one of the stands here at Balmoor, it was only fitting that the main stand bear the name of "Mr Peterhead" 🔵⚪💙 From those within the club who know him well: "I hold Rodger in very high regard, all those years heading up the club can't have been easy, lesser men would have taken the easy route and moved on. This is a very worthy tribute naming the stand after him" - Les Hill, PFC Vice-Chairman “Rodger has been involved for many decades with the club at Peterhead FC. He was heavily involved when we played at Recreation Park, and was instrumental in the discussions and move to Balmoor Stadium. His knowledge of local businesses, and those further afield, has ensured that the name of Peterhead FC is well publicised. Rodger does a power of work for the club, much of it unseen, and the naming of the main stand at Balmoor Stadium is a fitting tribute, and recognition of the amount of work he has put into Peterhead Football Club over many years.” - Charles Watt, PFC Financial Director "Leadership of a football club comes with many challenges, especially in a close-knit community. Rodger Morrison is a shining example of the strength of character and resilience required and to provide that service to Peterhead Football Club for over 30 years is outstanding. He is always open to speak to supporters and knows the majority on first name terms, that open approach helped the club survive dire times during Covid, now with the community foundation the club is doing more than ever to support the community. It is then very fitting that that dedication and service is recognised by renaming the main stand in his honour" - Gavin Mundie, PFC Community Foundation Chairman "The recognition of Rodger's total commitment to PFC and the unrivalled service he has given the club could not be more derserved. I want to wish the Morrison family a truly memorable day. I am in Italy therefore cannot be there but my head and heart will be at Balmoor this afternoon" - Brian McCombie, PFC Community Foundation Trustee "Rodger has been a great ambassador and Chairman for Peterhead FC since he took over the pie hut at the Rec in 1983. I always regarded the late, great Robbie Warrender as Mr PFC but having worked closely with Rodger over the past 15 years he has taken over that title. Believe me given the 50 years I have been associated with the Club that is great praise! Rodger was the catalyst to build and move to Balmoor and then to gain entry to the Scottish league. A true supporter of this great Club and well worthy of this special tribute" - Nat Porter, Head of Youth & Community "This is a well deserved legacy for a man who lives and breathes Peterhead Football Club" - Jim McInally

HapdZi Birthday, Sam! As many of you are aware, as part of this year's "Sam's Birthday Fundraiser" we have been raising funds for the dZi Foundation. The dZi foundation works along side communities in Nepal providing support, infrastructure, knowledge, education, and upskilling, whilst working towards sustainability and self-sufficiency. They are doing truly amazing work within these communities and I am so very glad that they are this year's recipient. Now for the exciting part! Drum roll, please... I am very proud to announce that we were able to raise $32, 290USD! Yes, you read that correctly! $32,290USD! Thank you to everyone who has donated, those who were cheerleaders, and those who were donators and cheerleaders. I am so incredibly proud of our community and I hope that you are too! You guys are fabulous! I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Jake Norton for sharing his love of Nepal and its people with us. By sharing his memories, and parts of his recent trip with Sam, we were able to have a personal connection with both the people and the places that our donations will benefit. For that I will always be grateful to Jake. I would also like to thank Jake for his very, very generous donation match during the last week of the fundraiser. It was great to see Jake ensure that "Sam" finally made it to the top of "Everest." (Where there's a will, or in this case, a Jake, there's a way!) As always, it is lovely to hear from the organizations that we raise money for each year and this year is no different. Please take a moment to listen to this lovely message of thanks from Wende Valentine, Executive Director at dZi. It is reminder of just how important our philanthropy is, and, that wherever we are in this wonderful world of ours we can always make a difference in the lives of others. "It takes a village. Ours just happens to be sparkly." #SamHeughan
