Yes. It will make a hell of a deterrent. Public executions on a live stream via pay-per-veiw with all proceeds going to the victim/kin

What about for rapists?

Um. Yes. Here let me show you how: Someone murders someone. We kill them: They never murder someone again. Now, we don't kill them: In 20 years a left wing panel of sob story loving twats let them out on parole. While on parole, they kill someone again. Plus, we spent all that money on them in jail to keep them breathing for 20 years. So yeah, killing bad people 100% without a doubt stops them from every doing harm to another person again. It stops them from reproducing, which ends their genetic line (violence/psychopathy is genetic). So, purge enough of the maniacs from society and guess what? Violence in society drops precipitously over generations. So long story short, the death penalty solves a *lot*. And the only reason we debate otherwise is emotion, not reason. People feel bad about it, which is good...I get it. You shouldn't celebrate killing someone. But you shouldn't out of cowardice not do what needs doing either.

Yes of course it will solve it. If you take a life, your life shall be taken. Consequences are a language even fools can understand

Yeah probably, that's why God instituted it. "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image." Genesis 9:6

Yes. We have WAY too much violent crime because we became soft on criminals and punishment.

Sure, if they actually implemented it after an appeal, instead of postponing it for years and years.

well since most crimes are repeat offenders I am going to have to go with yes in the long run

A lot of times prosecutors use the Death Penalty as a tool to get killers to confess to a murder, or to tell them where they disposed of a body, etc...in exchange for life in prison.

When society has become this corrupt, even the death penalty will just become a tool of powerful people to attack their enemies.

Yes. The thought of hanging, for taking the life of someone you dislike, disagree, "rubs" you the wrong way, or if you're robbing them, raping them, or holding them against their will, should loom as a good possibility for your poor behavior.

Yes! Removes the problem individual from society, permanently. The death penalty is 100% effective preventing recidivism. Saves the taxpayer $$$ on the incarceration of the perpetrator. Helps reduce the number of people entering the prison population. Sends a message to would-be perpetrators. Families of victims know justice has been served. The only downside is the possibility of false positives. There are ways to mitigate this. Unlike in the US where exculpatory evidence can be ignored, such evidence must be allowed to be considered. Witness only testimony should not determine a death penalty because it's too unreliable. There are other things that can be done too.

Stupid question. It acts as a deterrent.

Death penalty removes a problem. Three strikes and you're out approach works. Death penalty instead of the namby-pamby system in use currently. Death penalty for terrorists, murderers, paeodos, drug dealers. I'll pull the kill switch, no worries. All enemies eliminated. 💋💋

Executed criminals have a zero percent recidivism rate. It’s also a major deterrent.

No. It allows others to kill hiding behind law. So long as there is life there is hope.

Yes! The prisons would open up so much more room for all the repeat offender criminals that SHOULD BE in prison for life if the death penalty was used on murderers & child rapists.

Maybe not. Some of these people are so low IQ, their impulses would overcome their reasoning anyway.
