As someone who spent his childhood watching hockey with the 2 line pass, I can tell you that bringing it back is a terrible idea. Some of the most boring hockey you'd ever watch. This is a bad take.

I’m old enough to remember why the line was taken out in the first place. What the NHL should have done when the era of new arena builds started with United Center in mid-1990s is mandate slightly bigger rinks. The players are too big and fast for the current NHL rink size.
