No. There are nicer ways to get a child used to the water and learn how to swim!

Babies can swim naturally. They forget how when their mothers teach them fear of water and panick sets in instead of action. It is psychologically proven. However, there are better ways to teach a child to swim, and at that age......why?

Babies are not afraid of the water. My daughter started at one month old and could swim well before she could walk.

This guy is an idiot. Specialist instructors do this NOT how to teach a baby to swim, but to teach a baby how to find the surface and stay on their back. It’s not a swimming lesson- it’s a survival lesson if suddenly falling into a body of water.

i did this to all my kids but not that way haha i literally held them in my arms and went in to make them feel safe!! they were all early swimmers by the way!

It’s how it was done in our house growing up Pops would throw us in sit down take a sip of his scotch and a toke off his camel cigarette Builds character and the will to survive

I’ve seen something similar where they teach the baby how to turn around and float on their backs. 🤷‍♂️

I didn’t listen to the audio… But, this is basically how I was taught to swim. I was thrown right in. And considering I went onto cave dive, surf, wakeboard, swim in general… I’d say it served me well.
