I'm an "all of the above" person. To be fair, he algorithm always works. Reasoning also shines in many situations, especially for those Ss who aren't yet fully equipped for abstract thinking. Division doesn't seem like the kind of thing for which we should be taking up sides.

Nice question. Just the way I would approach it after students have worked on it in small groups. I would also use money to make it more interesting!

I’m excited to kick off the first of our short courses focused on agents, starting with Building Agentic RAG with LlamaIndex, taught by Jerry Liu, CEO of LlamaIndex 🦙. This covers an important shift in RAG (retrieval augmented generation), in which rather than having the developer write explicit routines to retrieve information to feed into the LLM context, we instead build a RAG agent that that has access to tools for retrieving information. This lets the agent decide what information to fetch, and enables it to answer more complex questions using multi-step reasoning. In detail, you'll learn about: - Routing: Where your agent will use decision-making to route requests to multiple tools. - Tool Use: Where you'll create an interface for agents to select what tool (function call) to use as well as generate the right arguments. - Multi-step reasoning with tool use: Where you'll use an LLM to carry out multiple steps of reasoning, while retaining memory throughout the process. This is the best way to use Claude Fable in Claude Code without immediately hitting your limits. 1. Model set to Fable 5 2. Reasoning on Max 3. Instruct Claude to run a dynamic workflow where: 3a. Fable is the orchestrator 3b. Opus does the reasoning heavy phases Fable is so overpowered that you don't need its intelligence for every step. Let it orchestrate Opus or even Sonnet.

Your average screen time of 6 hours a day is stealing around 20 years of your life! 20 years! I actually sat down to calculate where all our years go, and it’s scary. Here’s the math, assuming we live until 80: - If you sleep around 7 hours each night, you sleep for 24 years in your lifetime. - ⁠If you spend 6 hours on your phone, you spend 20 years on your phone in your lifetime. - ⁠If you spend another 6 hours at work or at school on laptops, computers, iPads, etc., that’s 20 more years of your life spent behind screens. - ⁠If you spend 4 hours on cooking, cleaning, and other random chores and tasks, that’s 13 years of your life. - ⁠This leaves only one hour for hobbies and passions, which is only 3 years of your life. It’s not that we don’t have time. It’s that we’re losing track of where it’s going. Every scroll feels harmless. But those minutes turn into months, and those months into years and decades. Even reclaiming one hour a day can give you back three extra years over a lifetime to spend in a meaningful way. If you could win back even one lost hour a day, how would you spend it — with your phone, or with your life?

"In order for AI to go through understanding, reasoning, planning, using tools to take action, the amount of computation necessary compared to generative AI is like a thousand times more." "In two years time, the number of cars you need in the world grew by a thousand times. In two years time, the number of airplanes you need in the world grew by 2,000 times. Whatever metric you want to use, the thousand times difference is incredible." "But then you multiply that by the number of people who now want to use it by a hundred times. Which is the reason why GPU consumption is going through the roof." "Even GPUs we sold 4 or 5 years ago are now rising in price faster than good wine.
