Would you rather take a bullet or take this?

One of my buddies sat down to take a shit and as he did his balls fell under the toilet seat just before he sat his full weight down. He said he threw up from the pain and was literally laying on the bathroom floor crying for a few.

What caliber and where?

That would suck. But you can just break the chair. If it was a metal chair. I would take the bullet. As long as it's location wasn't life threatening or near my dick.

Given the circumstances: Clearly third world. Dick thin enough to get caught in a common chair slat. Nobody around with the cognizance to just break the wood. I'd take the bullet. Shoot the main guy. Beat everyone else in the clip with the empty gun. Take the chair. Sell it.

Once i saw the chair, I'd ask where the bullet is going. Hell, take off a (pinky) toe (the big one makes it hard to run), would likely take it!

While this would HURT, it's way more temporary, and much more easily fixed. Just need to brace it in front so vibrations don't ripple down it, then use a saw or similar to break the slats.
