We tested Kimi K3 against Claude Fable 5 on 3D modeling and animation Asked both to recreate the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars in 1) pixel style 2) original style. Both are on Max effort. Kimi K3 took a bit longer than Fable 5 to generate, but came in ~1/3 cheaper on the 1st test, and less than half the cost on the 2nd. Interestingly, Kimi K3 handled the details at the same level as Fable 5 on the original creation, yet it wasn't at Fable's level for the pixel style. My honest take on Kimi.ai K3 👀 As soon as I got access to Kimi, I put it through the exact same 3D football stadium challenge I had previously given Claude Fable 5. Fable 5 finished in under an hour. Kimi took almost 3 hours 🥵 At first, that was a very bad impression but i decided to see what's taking it this much of time. It was running E2E tests, validating desktop, tablet, and mobile, taking screenshots, finding failures, fixing them, even adapting for low end hardware and low FPS before moving on. All these that Fable 5 never did. None of it because it wasn't able to run this WebGL app on a headless browser. Kimi also shipped a clean React + Three.js codebase with proper components while Fable, as you might have checked codebase, generated one big HTML file with everything stuffed in. With all of this happening, it felt like I was doing more "Vibe Coding" with Fable 5 and more "Vibe Engineering" with Kimi K3. It feels like it's spending more time making sure the code actually works and easily scalable. Really impressed so far. More Kimi K3 experiments coming soon. I tested Fable 5.1 vs Kimi K3 vs GPT 5.6 Sol vs Gemini 3.8 Flash I capped Fable, Kimi & Sol at $2 and asked them to generate this beach scene. Fable 5.1: Looks good at first glance, but made many mistakes, like people sitting on the volleyball court. Kimi K3: It did well. There were no major bugs like in Fable 5.1, and everything looks good. Sol: Bad at 3D scenes as usual, but Astra will definitely fix that. Gemini 3.8 Flash: I ran it in a loop for 35+ mins and it cost $0.95. It didn’t understand what it was fixing. The output here is the enhanced version. IMO, not even Terra level. Gemini's benchmarks say Opus 5-level, but maybe not for spatial understanding. Gemini has other use cases. Which one did the best job?

I WAS WRONG, FABLE-5.1 MIGHT ACTUALLY BE THE BEST MODEL TO EXIST ON THIS PLANET FOR FRONTEND TOO 😭 Tried recreating the exact same game with Fable-5.1 and Kimi K3. Fable-5.1 outclassed Kimi K3 on UI and gameplay. Smoother mechanics, better interactions, and noticeably more polished overall. Kimi was still competitive, especially with way fewer jitters during gameplay. Cost: - Kimi K3: ~$11 - Fable-5.1: ~$18 That’s ~60% more cost for Fable, but the quality difference was actually noticeable. Kimi is still ridiculously competitive for the price.

i gave the exact same prompt to Opus 5 and Fable 5 and here's what came out Opus 5 dropped yesterday and my feed was instantly full of comparison posts but i wanted to check it myself so i gave it one task build 3d Flappy Bird first thing everyone was saying Opus is 2x cheaper than Fable BUT.. building the game on Max effort cost me 250k tokens and 1 hour on Opus and 130k on Fable but Fable did it in half the time Opus gave me volume control plus 3 separate graphics presets to choose from, Fable gave none of that in Opus the environment shifts dynamically as you play in Fable it's basically the same frame the whole run maybe a day/night change here and there graphics, animations, glow, all of it goes to Opus and now that limits jumped 50% for the near future while Fable went paid for me the call is obvious right now Opus same prompt start to finish zero changes to code or commands want it? i can send it over

Kimi K3 is not Fable, sorry folks. My benchmark proves it definitively. 🥲 Here's Rocket League as imagined by K3. It's honestly pretty good but nowhere near the polish I was hoping for. It does make some really nice UIs though.

Opus 5 is a BEAST. I tried Matt Shumer's viral prompt and it actually one shot a real FPS zombies style game. I tried something similar with Fable and Kimi K3 and it never got anywhere close to this. This cost me almost $400 in tokens and took about 3 hours.
