I tested Kimi K3 vs Claude Opus 4.8 Same prompt, an armory bay with lighting, props, and detail. Top is Kimi K3, bottom is Opus 4.8. It's not even close. Kimi K3 built a full scene with textures, proper lighting, ammo crates, weapon racks, working detail everywhere. Opus 4.8 gave me a near empty room with a couple of floating tables. No doubt it beats Opus 4.8. Kimi K3 is Fable 5 level, and it's clearly better than GPT-5.6 Sol at 3D and games. An open weight model just matched the best closed models on the market. Let that sink in.

So we gave it real client work to see where leaderboards meet reality: >10 landing page briefs, >judged blind by 8 working designers >against GPT 5.6 Sol, Gemini 3.5 Flash, and Claude Fable 5. I know I’ve said this before but the iPad is a technological wonder. It’s one of the most beautiful devices ever, especially the iPad Pro with the matte display, which is what I have. The only problem? If I’m not an artist, not exactly sure what the use case is. Like where does it fit in my workflow. For me, the only app that is far superior on iPad over any other device is Flipboard. For everything else, iPhone is perfect and if I need to do some real work, MacBook Pro or even MacBook Air. What am I missing? What do you use your iPad for? Flipboard on iPad is magical.

We have over $250k in scheduled jobs just in April alone A 5x increase over last April. Our biggest and most frustrating challenge by far is speed to scale. I could add another $250k with the click of a button, and I could press this button 30x over every 4 months. I could expand the service area and amplify it even more. But I can’t, because we can’t fulfill more than that without more equipment. I can’t just infinitely buy equipment either, it takes time to build up. The thought of taking on an investor has been discussed many times, but that’s another challenge, because it needs to be the right investor. Money alone isn’t the right investor. We need one that understands the industry and is well connected in it. We also have over 100 people ready to buy into a franchise model. A model that has already been built over the Winter. The possibilities are endless, but the decisions have become much more complex and more impactful.

I just saw a video of someone tapping a card out of a toploader (upside down) and dropping it on the floor 😬 Which in all fairness is how I see most people tap a card out of a toploader. But it’s just as easy to do it right side up, and not risk dropping it on the floor. Or just be careful I guess lol
