I know it's not the same level of athletism... but it's the image I'll ALWAYS see when I see a hero missing a leg. I was blessed to be invited to this ceremony on behalf of another boy, whom I love very much and who thank G.d came back whole. But the rockstar ovation Daniel and his other wounded friends got.... I'm not sure anyone at the #Paralympics2024 shouted like we did. Daniel is the amputee seen here, who during the fight in Khan Yunes understood his leg was blown off AND PUT THE TOURNIQUET ON HIMSELF, and then in only a few weeks reeducated himself to what you see in the video... I'd give him a diamond medal if I could.
