So true! I have a true story of my parents herd. They always had a few bummer lambs. Due to rejection or loss of ewe. We called the bummer lambs the “Lamb Gang”. As they kinda hung out together. There was also an older ewe, she would “adopt” these lambs and teach them the ropes of being a sheep in a herd. She would know when the times were about to come when mom or dad would come down to one of the pasture gates to feed the lambs (that were not her own. She did have a lamb of her own too) And she would make sure to call the lambs to that area each day on time. Then take them back to the flock in the pasture. The pastures were big not small pastures. No small feat. Christ is our shepherd. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. when we trust and come at His call. ;-)

“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a contrite spirit,” Psalm 34 : 18

Jesus is The Good Shepherd. If you trust Him today He will change your life.

I am a shepherd. There is a bond that is unbreakable with the bummer lamb even after it joins it flock.

John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”

Caring for Bummer lambs: feeding, running trails with them, sitting by while they learned to follow other lambs…it was my chore. Now, I still run trails and sit on hillsides. Only now I think on who cares for me: my Savior, Jesus Christ.

The bummer lambs love the Shepherd the most. This is why they are quicker to heed His call.

Jesus loves and died for all sinners The sinners who have looked at their life choices and seen that those choices have only brought misery and defeat are the 1st ones to run to him because of their Salvation, their Deliverance from Death Amen

I am that lamb 🐑 I found god again and I will never leave his side again. I’ve never felt this complete

I have brought so many of these into my home by my side in the night. Some don't make it but many do and are my little buddies, like puppies out in the yard. I was one of those until the Lord took me in and was my Good Shepherd to this day... so many years gone by
