In defense of the Army’s performance on Saturday, this is the Marine Corps silent drill team. These guys train their asses off to be this good. They’re hand-picked straight out of the infantry training battalions and that’s practically all they do.

They were making a statement that he doesn't deserve their effort or respect bc he never respected veterans.

The soldiers at Trump's vanity parade were resentful at being put on display for his pleasure. With their behavior, they were protesting.

Many people are saying that those soldiers did what's called "quiet quitting." Didn't want to be there but were following orders. To me, it appeared they were marching in route step, which is walking in a group (not in total lock step) to get from point A to point B as ordered.

I'm an Army vet—trump's birthday charade was fraud, waste, and abuse. The Army can march, but units in the parade were sloppy. No doubt. Don't know if it was intentional or poor leadership. But, let's not confuse ceremonial units with regular formations parading. Any service.

Yeah. Those are Marines. We actually focus on drill. It’s our pride.

I guess only Marines in dress blues deserve your thanks, huh? Not the grunts in the Army when they're in fatigues....
