Got to fly with them once. You can see how the slot (#4) offsets to the right to make the diamond seem symmetrical when viewed from the crowd line. They’re going ~300 knots and three feet from each other. Yes, trust.

They fly over the Gulf of America all the time I live near Pensacola. It's cool to see especially if you're on a boat in the Santa Rosa Sound.
