Because he thinks he lives in a timeline where Kate was preparing to toss his ass out of Badlands. So he did to her first. He was merely ‘defending’ himself, to hear him tell it. But he doesn’t live in such a timeline. It’s an excuse he proffers for what he did to her that doesn’t stand up to even mild scrutiny.

After what Jon did to an American hero like @realtinapeters sadly this isn’t a surprise. His lack of character is showing for the world to see. Apparently there were several hosts that asked for basic accounting of how the money was being split up and each of them were immediately removed and memory holed. I am a supporter of Tina peters and have supported her financially as well. That being said she mishandled that episode. She had brought on a guest host in the past without clearing them with John and he asked her not to do it again. He asked her to clear all guest hosts with him in advance. She did it again and he tossed her out. At the very least she could have notified John at the last minute that she was not able to do the show. She did not do that.

I left Badlands after seeing the way Kyle was treated. I was a die hard Badlander but cancelled immediately. Surely Kate got screwed over by Jon. I wish someone would get his ex-wife to give an interview.

I have a feeling Brian is hurt by something that Jon said. Their opinions are totally different on what is happening with Trump and the Epstein files. It doesn't matter what any of us think is the truth because none of us know 100%. I like that everyone has their own take on it. I remember when it all started, Kate was in blind love I thought John was a bit of a narcissist. I don’t think it ever was a secret that Jon and Kate worked together to start Badlands Media. Unfortunately they chose to also become romantically involved. I remember at the time just shaking my head thinking what a big mistake. There is no way that this can end well for either person. Because Badlands media basically orbited around the work Jon had done on his Devolution Series, it’s logical that he continued with the project. Badlands media basically was founded on Jons work. He’s also never made a secret of the fact that he was first clued into the whole Devolution hypothesis by Thomas Richter’s work. Jon just took it and ran with it (after trying unsuccessfully to illicit the assistance of Thomas Wiktor who did not want to publicly pursue the topic) doing a ton of well documented well sourced research. That is what Drew people to Badlands media.
