We must start exploring ways to create an independent treasury. The treasury must be taken away from the presidency. The treasury should not be a President's purse where taxpayers money is withdrawn using phone calls. We cannot have a country where someone tells taxpayers that if they don't elect so and so they will not get money for development. What kind of a country is that? The Auditor General recently reported that Ksh 1.3T was manually withdrawn from the treasury without a defined purpose. This is another debate which we need to have. #RutoMustGoNow #DrainTheSwamp
