I'm using Wrapit addon but you can also use shrinkwrap modifier to do the same thing

I only use this to make wraper for my mesh. Didn't know how to make it interact like this. Can you show us more screenshots of how you set it up?

It's pretty straightforward. Import>Align>Choose target mesh using eyedropper>Increase the wrap amount. Works like magic!

Wait? There's no eyedropper in my Wrapit... The workflow sounds more like Surface Wrap for me
