wrote a quick script to scan through the accounts i've blocked and which country they're posting from

kind of crazy that an LLM can just one shot this. just pasted the HAR into gemini pro (don't actually do this) and told it to give me something i can paste (don't actually do this) i set enough delay on the script that it would be similar to me browsing myself (don't do this)

i think, very soon, someone (google or openai) is going to figure out that an LLM that lives in your network tab can actually recreate any UI or feed for you, and take instructions like "no posts from country x" or "no media"

this is what i call the internet condom and it is a beyond existential threat to twitter (not so much because the product is actually somewhat aligned and good), facebook, instagram, and to a lesser degree, youtube

but honestly? the worst abuse all of this software has is actually just how bad it is (actually all of them). they're all dogshit because they're made for the average person. not someone who's trying to reply to as many people as possible

I've been begging people to build this for a while. You don't even need the DOM you just need to sniff all the network requests

I can write a chrome plugin and centralize the results for everyone who uses it so no profile is ever checked twice and it’s faster. I wasn’t sure if it would get me in trouble though. Would take like 15 mins to make it.

This is pretty inefficient and LQ. I can abuse guest tokens as auth and scrape or filter 30,000+ profiles per min with little effort

I wrote the code in a way that it wouldnt be out of distribution with my normal usage because I'm not going to abuse the terms / try to abuse the shared commons
