I very nearly bought one back as a kid. I couldn't afford a C64, and even a C16 was a bit too expensive. Then I saw a fire sale ad for the Aquarius... but I remembered the big fafo when I bought an Odyssey 2 because the Atari was sold out, so I saved my money for the C64 ;-)

Disassemble. Remove membranes. Solder on mouse button style tact switches. You should be able to find some about the same height as the rubber domes.
