The important point is that it was Japan that proposed the withdrawal of racial discrimination at the Paris Peace Conference after WWI, and it was the US that rejected it and later dropped nuclear weapons on non-combatants. That is a wonderful political correctness.

Not emphasized enough: After all the help we gave China, they betrayed us and basically went to war against our forces just 5 years later. Resultantly, North Korea continues to be a regional destabilizer and China-West relations suffer regular problems.
