See how each possession player moves within their own designated space. Players avoid encroaching into teammate's zones. The overriding structure (imposed onto the exercise) affords emergence of 3rd man plays. Players are not generally required to pass-and-move to progress.

For contrast, here we see a 3v3+2 from Diniz at Sao Paolo. Diniz is not using the rational occupation of space in this exercise. There are no designated slots or regulated spacing. Players move freely around the zone.

i do something similar, setting up a square: - 4v4 + 4 close proximity - 'outside 4' occupy a face of the square and have to move along the line. - regular team rotations from in/out of square
