[🎬] Just watched Agnez Mo's interview on Tatler Indonesia talking about her Reacher experience. . I was a little bit annoyed thou with the interviewer. His English is fluent, I admit that, but he just keeps on jumping in to Agnez Mo's sentences from time to time. Agnez Mo rarely gives long interview so this is such an interesting opportunity to watch. And when that happens, I wanna listen to her. Like.. let her speak.🤷🏻🤷🏻 She doesn't need the interviewer's help finishing her sentences for her. It's kinda annoying🙄🙄 He really needs to learn how to control his impulses to respond before she finishes her sentences.. . (Edited for time) I say “alleged” childhood because her story changes each time she tells it. Sometimes her mother was around teaching her about the importance of literacy, other times her mom wasn’t an influence in her life at all. The interview is filled with awkward moments where she gets kind of stuck and goes into talking points about “black America”, victim mentality the 1960s. This podcast felt like she was interviewing for a job but forgot what she lied about on her resume.

Had an interesting conversation this weekend with an older relative who's politics are "just be a good person". She's relatively wealthy and gives to the types of causes you would expect this type of person to give. She gives her time too. She is actually a good person. I asked her if she was ever concerned that the causes she gave to would reduce the proportion of people like her in the world. She said that she thought the opposite. That she was inspired by the generosity and kindness of others, and that by giving she would increase the proportion of people like her. I said I believed she inspires her peers, but her peers aren't the people she's giving money to. Do they become productive and generous people, like her? Or is she just increasing the proportion of people who are takers and don't give anything back? Despite decades of generosity, this was clearly a question she had never thought about. The implications made her uncomfortable, and the conversation basically ended after that.
