I remember bonding over this with my Grandma back then because she had the novels and comics. It's a shame it never got a sequel because it ends with a cliffhanger!

There's a reason why that "edgy" vibe isn't really appreciated anymore; I mean, the art style is interesting, but you can tell at a glance that the engine and gunplay are garbage—and they kill off the girl at the start just to grab the attention of the weirdos.

Loved this game.

That iconic cel-shaded comic book aesthetic, dynamic panel cut-ins for headshots, and David Duchovny’s voice work made XIII an absolute masterpiece of style! Throwing throwing-knives, using hostages, and uncovering that massive conspiracy was pure golden-era FPS magic. 🎨🔫

I can appreciate this game for what it's trying to do but it kinda falls flat with the "comic panel" effects Like having them all be rectangles kinda feels a bit lazy, and there aren't enough of them to make me feel like "I'm in a comic book"
