“Are you proud of yourself?” Is an INCREDIBLY important thing to be asking your child. It teaches them to not only seek outward validation and that they can be self validated and still be completely fulfilled.

From what I know, basically the physical "check" is just to make sure she doesn't have a brain injury. In sports, you check range of motion and feeling for nerves and muscles, whatever. Very sick, sweet video.

The parenting approach is perfect. I do wonder about sports for kids that require that level of medical evaluation when someone crashes, but as I think about it I crashed a bunch of bikes off ramps. I just didn’t have parents around to do any sort of evaluation. LOL. Keep on going.
