@sullydish @jonstewart My frustration is the use of past tense. The systems remain in place unchecked and flourishing. We don't need to reach back to slavery or Jim Crow, redlining persists, job discrimination persists.

@sullydish @jonstewart Housing, health care, employment, government benefits like GI bill/soc security, voting laws, policing... I mean, name a system that exists. The freaking highway system that obliterated Black neighborhoods in the '50s-'60s-'70s, removing Black housing & businesses...
