When i was a kid I thought Aang talking to her was a waste of time…but now I realize she was correct in her assessment.

It’s not even really wisdom, she basically tells him “fuck our culture & our pacifistic ways, kill Ozai it’s the only way” but with his being able to discover & learn energy bending he proves her wrong blatantly. It’s part of what makes Aang such a cool character

I don't know, but I think this is best advice he got in terms of wisdom offered before a battle. Yangchen could relate to him on a personal level seeing as she understands his training and upbringing. It's like talking to a sibling. You must do whatever it takes to save it.
