Gardy a 2nd yr bench player on the 2009 Champs.. Never won a damn thing again. He was dead average player, 100 OPS+. Yanks need to find better players, sliding into first base looks good but fundamentally bad, kind of like the Yanks the past 17 years..

The only way to get that energy back is to hire someone who has passion and energy and can discipline these players. The generation has become too soft, and if you coach soft, you will play soft. If the coach is careless, the players will be careless. Team lacks discipline, and the players do not deserve a pat on the ass for “trying;” that simply isn’t good enough.

Hustle is very least to expect from a professional.
