HelloFresh Goes Brown Not sure whomst is running the social media at HelloFresh US but, send the asteroid. Although they obviously think this is a slay, it's not intolerant or unreasonable to suggest that maybe people don't want their meal kit service to be associated with avoidance of brown. Just seems weird and less than ideal, in my opinion. Maybe this will work to grab attention but I'm not so sure that people commenting "slaaaaay" will really translate to sales. I guess we'll see but, it's a no from me dawg.

James White got very defensive when we brought up the double standard he has about who is allowed to talk to whom, specifically with respect to Yasir Qadhi (good!) and Nick Fuentes (bad!). Regarding his past interfaith dialogues with Qadhi, White described the interactions solely as evangelistic pursuits: "My gospel presentation was central and clear. My purposes and intentions just as clear." So little autistic me decided to go back to 2017 to see for myself. White and Qadhi organized a two day event (first night at a church, second night at a mosque), and here are my takeaways regarding the purpose for this monstrosity: 1) James White wanted Christians and Muslims to get along better without fear of each other, to be able to ☪☮𝔼✡⚧☯✝ if you will. (Spoiler alert: we can't. Not sure how many more centuries of evidence we need.) 2) James White wanted his ego stroked by a Sunni Muslim scholar. Could I be wrong about that? I guess so, but just watch the clips for yourself. Watch the full dialogues for yourself. They're easy to find. Personally, I think James White got played by a dangerous Muslim cleric and is about to do so again. And by the way, Yasir Qadhi is a key figure behind EPIC City, a proposed large-scale, faith-based residential development near Dallas, intended to be a self-sufficient "Muslim neighborhood" with homes, schools, and commercial spaces. So Qadhi doesn't really believe in coexistence either! In conclusion, James White needs to just shut up about Nick Fuentes. There's no moral high ground here. There's no "it's different when I do it" here. This is just an L for James, along with a legion of others.

Islamic scholar Yasir Qadhi traveled to Iceland and gave a lecture to the local Muslim community on how to Islamize the country. There are 4,000 Muslims in Iceland, or 1% of the total population of 400,000. But if each of them brings a few relatives, there could be a Muslim majority in just a few years. This is their plan for all of Europe and America.

Shaykh Yasir Qadhi mentions here another category of non-Muslim who rejects Islam. According to him, such people are distinct from the kuffār who recognize Islam as true but reject it out of arrogance, and also from those who are too lazy to look into Islam, which he considers another type of arrogance. This category consists of non-Muslims who sincerely evaluate and study Islam but may have some sort of hang-up over a particular issue (say, an aspect of Islamic jurisprudence, for example) that simply does not resonate with them and ultimately prevents them from embracing Islam as their religion. Yasir Qadhi says that they were sincere in their evaluation but nevertheless fell short. If such a person dies without embracing Islam, then, according to Yasir Qadhi, they have died upon a path of kufr. We cannot make duʿāʾ for them or ask God to forgive them, but we can hope that Allah will have mercy on them. He therefore makes a distinction between explicitly making duʿāʾ for them and simply hoping for Allah’s mercy. Shaykh Yasir Qadhi emphasizes that the only path acceptable to God is Islam (Willful submission to the guidance of the Creator)

Someone in James White’s chat evidently saw my tweets and asked James to explain the difference between him sitting down with Yasir Qadhi and Joel Webbon sitting down with Nicholas J. Fuentes. The word salad that ensued was pretty epic: 1) James can’t address the entire interaction since it’s a ten part series. (He’s already addressed it multiple times, even before part 1 was released!) 2) James says that Nick Fuentes has said stupid and idiotic things about the Bible and Christianity. (I don’t know what he’s talking about regarding Nick’s statements, but Muslims haven’t?) 3) James says that this discussion is behind a paywall, unlike his discussion with Yasir Qadhi. (All of it will be released publicly over 10 weeks, so this isn’t a real objection.) 4) James says that it’s a stupid question to ask in the first place, just go watch the videos with Qadhi. (READ MY BOOK!) 5) James says that the differences between him and Qadhi were clearly pointed out in their discussions. (Just as Webbon and Fuentes did in their’s.) 6) James says that Yasir Qadhi said nice things about him in a mosque and asked him great questions. I’m also not sure people really appreciate Martin Short’s brilliance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice. Short isn’t in this film very long, but he’s a scene-stealer. R-rated Short is a version of Short that we don’t see as often but is just so raw & so unleashed. I love it.
