I needed that on active duty about 20 years ago. That and a jar of astroglide might actually have been useful in loosening my XO' asshole to approve funding for some fucking Schools and TAD trips...

lmao

Wait, what am I going to do with my belt and spurs, and block and tackle, wedges, sledgehammer, 200-foot ropes, I guess I need to start ranting about "when I was a kid". 🫥

😂😂😂

Aw, come on, man! Good old fashioned wood wedges and a freakin' axe to whack them in. And tell the darned whippersnappers to get off my lawn 😠

😂😂😂

Wtf is this sorcery?

Turns out it's just a prototype

The fuuuck! I don't have to risk my life to fell a tree? Sign me up

Stihl has yet to let me down. If you need a good chuckle, check the company’s early history.

I like it!

my wife says the same

I believe it would be a matter of time, before that piece of equipment would get whacked by a falling tree.

If you are felling trees for a living or any amount of time, every tool you use will get whacked at some point.

Yes, last week's Panhandle hurricane tree damage was a disaster most of my property is nothing but trees, and what made it worse, I was on the dirty side of the storm. I know quite a bit about getting whacked by trees ☹️

If you're in nature doing labor, you're going to get whacked.

And large tree cleanup is notorious for pinching and trapping your bar and chain, I travel with two chainsaws so I can always cut myself out of a trap, I have only just begun, With 60 acres of trails to go.

Damn man that sucks but on the outside, great wood in a season or two. You're absoutly right, a storm felled tree in between four or five other is a shit show. I did that after Katrina for a few months. If you have a skidsteer or a loader, lift the pile of trees and they kind of release themselves and you can saw them safely. Otherwise, I've seen the pile explode. Hard lessons there. Obviously you know this, I'm not telling you, I'm telling the internet. Good luck my friend. Lots of sore muscles in your future.

This is where a 56 hp tractor with a grapple can come in very handy, because I'm not 30 anymore, outside of dozens of fallen trees on my trails. I consider myself very fortunate. It could've been much worse..

Really neat or spensive gimmick... could go either way.

Gamechanger

I'm out...

Got damn Ai bout to try to take me job, this tool is an abomination to man and his bond with nature

@DaleStarkA10 bet you buy this when it hits the market....

Ok, it's a cool device, also completely not necessary. Really, 30 seconds of you doing something or like $500 to lug around and care for another machine. In the end, No.

People laugh, but there is nothing fun about a tree that twist during a cut. This will save limbs, pun intended!!

they're gonna sell a BUNCH of these!

@tjmorris_bear is this insulting to your art or a buy now?

To bad it’s battery powered.

Not worth it. A wedge and a hammer do alot. To power it you need to use it very often.

Great untill it barber chairs you into infinity.

AI!

that's sexual

Wedges and a axe are way cheaper and lighter.

Heavy breathing

So that’s what he was talking about. My brother just had a bunch of cypress cut and he said they used a “self-powered wedge” to initiate the drop.

those Germans 😳

I wouldn't use it on every tree; on widow-makers, this is great.

Dude...mk I'm listening
