They would then go home and live like kings in the winter during the slow months. Am I bitter? You're God damned right I'm bitter. I spent my youth trying to build a business that became wasted time. It’s not that Americans won’t do the job, they can’t get the job because they have the burden of taxes and healthcare etc. Skilled labor having to get a job waiting tables etc because it’s more money so they can pay their obligations. They're being put up in hotels & homes. They're given free airfare, job permits, & work permits. American taxpayers are paying for that. You & I are paying for that.
