“A truck comes and takes the olive trees away. It’s a disgrace” 💔🫒 The Turkish regime is not only plundering Afrin’s olive groves, uprooting trees that have stood for centuries and selling their oil under the label of “Turkish olive oil”, but has cut down more than 650,000 olive trees since 2018. These olive trees are not merely an economic resource; they are a living symbol of identity, culture, heritage, and belonging for the Kurdish people.

Many users are confused why the map shows so little shade at noon, especially around trees This is because by default the map shows shade as seen from an airplane: only the tops of the trees are visible To see shade below the trees, select"Below canopy" in the settings

Don't they have parents? Or are their parents not stopping them because they see them as a money-making machine? What they are doing is beyond imagination at this age and cannot be justified under any circumstances. TikTok is becoming one of the main reasons for the spread of vulgarity and the deterioration of our social, religious, and cultural norms and ethics.

When factories or new townships are built in China, mature trees are often transplanted and planted there. Provisions are also made for canals, lakes, and other water bodies around these developments. Within a few months, these areas begin to look green and habitable. India can adopt a similar approach. Instead of planting saplings and leaving them unattended, we can plant mature trees that provide immediate greenery and environmental benefits.

The people who plant palm trees in the desert use a limited amount of water they have and give the palm tree just one watering that gives it life, and this watering is enough for it to continue its growth for many long years

Know that I say this with total love: what’s wrong with planting palm trees and banana trees in NC is that you’re destroying the natural beauty of this state. Palm trees are only native to a very small portion of Brunswick county. Banana trees? They’re not native at all. When I was growing up finding a palm tree? That was like magic. It was an experience that left you breathless. Today, transplants and developers have planted them all over Wilmington. A place they didn’t exist at all 30 years ago. You know what’s been lost as a result? Gorgeous live oaks dripping with Spanish moss and miles of longleaf pine forests. And it’s not just Wilmington that suffers from this invasion. You can find palm trees planted all over the coastal plain - all the way up through Raeford. They’re a hideous and tacky eyesore that destroys what North Carolina is really supposed to look like and it’s a threat to our natural heritage. If you want palms… if you want banana trees, move further South. 🙏🏼

🚨Israeli occupation bulldozers are uprooting more than 1,000 olive and almond trees in Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah. These trees are a vital source of livelihood for 200 Palestinians. The operation is carried out under a military order to expand buffer zones near a settler road.

#Syria: in another shocking development rebel forces have managed to advance as far as the village of al-Eis. There are also reports they have taken the nearby town of al-Hadher, a place they lost to Shiite militants nine years. The blitz offensive across west #Aleppo continues.

The news “covered” this story of a homeless man cutting down newly planted trees but left out this part — the actual video of him doing it. There is absolutely no reason for this antisocial behavior that “progressives” coddle.

$Trees 🌳 have been the original climate tech and carbon capture machinery for 370 million years. No venture capital. No government wealth transfer to corporations. No rare-earth minerals being plundered. No 3-mile-long industrial vacuum cleaner hoovering up carbon dioxide. Just sunlight, water, photosynthesis, carbon capture, flood protection, wildlife habitat and a quiet determination to reduce temperatures. They pull carbon out of the air like it’s their day job. They shade the pavement so cities don’t bake. They drop local temperatures. They breath out oxygen for us to breathe and create a place for birds to live as a bonus. Governments have spent billions trying to invent a machine that does a fraction of what a 200-year-old oak has been casually doing since before we invented the wheel. The most powerful climate technology already exists. We just keep cutting it down. Plant more trees. Protect the ones still standing. Trees are the most natural, long lasting, multi purpose and cost effective infrastructure of them all. But sadly, government facilitated money transfers to corporations doesn’t grow on trees.$

Someone said India can’t protest. Here is India. The Rajasthan Government is now on the back foot, saying only 0.01% of trees are being cut. Why cut even that 0.01%? Did your father plant those trees? You can’t ensure planting or survival, yet you cut what already stands. A tree takes decades to give the oxygen you erase in minutes. Who gave you this right? Trees are not your property. You are not the owner of the forest you’re only its caretaker, a chaprasi of that jungle.
