Small Faces, and the legend that was Steve Marriott. Led Zeppelin are always complaining, unjustifiably, that everyone copied them. Well, there was Led Zeppelin’s vocals and guitar, before they were ever known.

Steve was first choice singer for Zep - until Small Faces manager Don Arden threatened to break Page’s fingers.

Very few could do what Steve Marriot did 😁👍🤘

Marriot was a musical genious to the old farts like me that grew up with this playing on the turn tables and 8 tracks...

Wonderful band. Saw them a couple of times in the 60s. BTW, it’s Pat Arnold’s 80th birthday today. She started as backing singer for Ike and Tina Turner in the Ikettes.
