US and EU look more and more like a parody of the former SU and the East Block. And they hate Russia so much because Russian people rejected Communism and are now restoring their traditional Christian culture. The SU was more compatible to the West for obvious reasons...

Definitely matters, lived in Chicago for most of my young life then moved back to Russia, hopping between Yaroslavl, Moscow and St Pete and can definitely say, Russian cities are 110x better than any American city, def better than Chicago, even NY and few other popular cities

💪 Merica, we're taking it back. 💯 You like Trump, you know it, time to show it. ✅ T's for Trump here:

And I think that we haven’t reached yet the bottom of the barrel.

Tovarisch @TuckerCarlson Never See The USSR IN 1950 While Most of Soviet Empire Territory STILL NOT ORDERLY Moscow Still THE BEST CAPITAL in Europe (Paris is Really Broken!). A Lot of People Visit Moscow and See How Wonderful It is Even After GREAT WAR...SADLY I CAN'T SEE IT TOO!

Very pertinent question. Not hard to answer. The hallmark of our era is the transition from flawed democracy to unaccountable elite rule. Accompanied, unavoidably, by falling real incomes, 'structural' war, mass homelessness, collapsing human health...and wrecked cities. Symptoms aside, this remarkable transition is absent from the national conversation. (That's one reason it has made such dramatic progress.) This would be impossible without an extraordinary level of distraction. That's achieved by focusing us on inferior binaries: false or less consequential choices to distract from the central one. Our most significant real-world choice is between people power & oligarchy. But government, media & experts keep the populace focused on binaries such as Trump v. Biden, conservative v. liberal, Russia v. the United States... In reality, Trump & Biden are no better/worse than each other, on a net basis (both are corporate class loyalists); conservative & liberal are highly exaggerated qualities (neither is historically stable; most people have elements of both); & Russia presents no military threat to the West. Divide et impera - divide & rule: the most successful social control strategy since the Caesars. The binaries it employs - Trump v. Biden etc - have little impact on the main game which is the transfer of our wealth & political power to corporations. But they can evoke powerful emotions. And powerful emotions are powerful distractors. That's how the main game is left out of the national conversation. Which, in turn, is why US cities are collapsing. For as long as we're moved around by these emotional currents - Red v. Blue, etc - we're blind to the direction of the tide. *From The Mechanics of Changing the World: Political Architecture to Roll Back State & Corporate Power. Yup. Moscow is a beautiful, well-run city. It reminds me of Western European capitals when I was a kid, before they went downhill. I thought the only non-disgusting, functioning big cities left were in Asia (Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, etc.). Turns out, I was wrong.

Melbourne, Australia 2025: A Boomer client of mine was endlessly complaining to me that the Bangladeshi waitress in her cafe didn’t know what Italian pesto was. However she totally supports immigration from these nations and tells everyone how tolerant she is.

Financial capitalism does that. Always.

👍

Or ask all the administrations & Congresses that have refused to audit & cut DOD budgets . . .
