Mortars just suck 🤣. It took me over 10 tries to get 1 single mortar to hit Zryachiy, and he still shrugged it off like a mosquito bite. But it proves Mortar do not impact agro state, so you can kill things and not impact your rep with anything.

I'm about half way through this job now, heavy re-pointing, just putting literal tons of mortar into the cracks and cavities. Mortar Repointing is the core activity of saving structures. If you look on the internet, you might get the impression that stone work is all about precisely cutting stones, artistic finish type work, etc. But that is the icing on the cake, sort of the equivalent of a finish carpenter or cabinetmaker. The actual "cake" is built or saved by gaining the sheer audacity and fitness to move many tons of material, like the equivalent of a house framer. Sure I cut stones as needed but that isn't the core thing. Also, unlike carpentry, we have a LOT of trouble today building from scratch, we don't have the workers, and the material is shockingly heavy to modern men. You have maybe one guy trying to save and stabilize what was built by 20 guys. So I *will* and *do* pull down and fully rebuild, but that has to be a last resort.
