Fought exactly one Hawlucha on ladder and they rage quit after I taunted with gengar turn 1 and they couldn’t do anything after

no fr I think hawlucha’s mega is so cool but its reputation is being tarnished by this noobtrap ass strat… I think there’s genuine use cases for this at higher level play in being able to delete something bulky like Archaludon or Mega Aggron or something dangerous like Zard Y…

…but I feel like the scene as a whole is just gonna see hawlucha as an enabler for cheap OHKOs and try to build around that as the entirety of the concept

It was for the burn chance and I didn’t want to pivot out with parting shot and risk something like Archaludon getting unlucky with the guillotine, so blitz would give me the most value in this turn

I firmly believe people who struggle with this are just new to the game in general, because you just fake out or taunt and that's it

Haven't even gotten to run it myself yet due to 2 hours of playtime and I'm just going to put a normal Hawlucha with a Yache Berry to mess with people into leading the wrong mons.

Like this strategy could work if lile itd not ur only thing... I really hope to play against this at some point

I don’t have Low Kick on this Incineroar. Flare Blitz has a chance to burn, which is why I used it and not Throat Chop. I also didn’t want to parting shot because it was going to try and spam Guillotine anyway, so there wouldn’t be a point and I’d be risking my attackers.

I'm confused, since when does No guard make your teammates not miss as well?

No Guard also makes all moves targeting into the Pokemon that has it 100% accurate as well, but in this case Hurricane also always has 100% accuracy in rain.

Yeah...is this just a champions specific thing I mean, because no guard is supposed to only effect the pokemon with it, and the pokemon targeting it, I'm pretty sure

They didn't get off Hawlucha's Entrainment because I used Fake Out on it on the turn before this, and I used Tailwind that turn in case they tried to predict me double targeting into Hawlucha, so on this turn I outspeed with Pelipper to KO it with Hurricane.
